About Me
& My Skin Care Philosophy --

Nina Livii Skin & Wellness holistic esthetician long island

Welcome to Nina Livii Skin Care & Wellness. My name is Nina Livii and I am the Owner &  Licensed Holistic Esthetician of Nina Livii Skin & Wellness.  My facial treatment studio is located in a calming setting at Northport Wellness Center where I’m proud to be a NWC Alliance Member.  I offer whole-bodied facials that integrate the best of professional Korean skin care with face sculpting massage, innovative technology and ancient wisdom.

My Philosophy -

I don't believe in short-term quick fixes - I believe in cultivating long term skin health and confidence.  Each treatment is a curated experience, infused with wellness and a touch of luxury, tailored to your individual needs.

With years of expertise and on-going education, I combine holistic wisdom and advanced skin care to create results that endure, whether you seek a purely natural approach, a modern scientific one, or a thoughtful blend of both.

My method is designed to address the key pillars of skin health, offering specialized care for healthy aging, acne, and/or sensitive skin - all areas of my expertise.

The Nina Livii Skin & Wellness method includes:

Fascia (Connective Tissue) & Muscles: Advanced sculptural massage and fascia release techniques release tension, while sculpting, lifting and toning the face, assisting in healthy aging by preventing degradation of the facial structure which is the underlying foundation of the face and skin.

Regenerative Skin Care & Cellular Health:  Cellular health runs the show.  Skin regenerative treatments that contain exosomes, growth factors, PDRN, peptides and NAD precursors work to create long lasting healthy cell-to-cell communication for healthy aging and skin repair alongside PEMF therapy, LED, Oxygen Therapy, Microchanneling, Nano-Infusion and Linder Health Peels

Skin Barrier Health: Strengthening and balancing the protective skin barrier, reducing inflammation, clearing the skin, and supporting the skin's microbiome for long term skin health with restorative and nourishing facials, biorhythm skin therapy, & home care protocols.

Lymphatic Flow:  Facial massage techniques that help clear lymphatic stagnation and fluid build up around the face & neck, reducing puffiness and assisting in detoxing the skin

Innovative & Holistic Korean Skin Care Treatments and/or Herbal Skin Care:  Utilizing the most results-driven, innovative and thoroughly tested professional-only Korean facial treatments that are both corrective and preventative, and rooted in holistic philosophy, alongside fresh small batch whole-herb based skin care

Nervous System Regulation: Tension releasing techniques alongside a PEMF & heated gemstone therapy mat help put the nervous system into a parasympathetic state, which is optimal for overall wellness and skin healing

Modern Science meets Ancient Beauty Ritual:  Connecting modern science with nature, and technology with ancient practices that nourish both skin & psyche

Wellness & Vitality:  Taking a look at potential root causes of your skin concerns by addressing the pillars of wellness.  Using modalities that benefit both skin and inner wellness simultaneously, unlocking a sene of overall vitality beyond just the skin

Never anything harmful, never anything toxic, and also no unnecessary fluff (but still keeping it fun).

To Get Started, Book Here

Despite what we may have been led to believe, we do not have to damage the skin or do invasive treatments to see results, nor do we have to compromise effectiveness to support long term skin health and healthy aging.   I believe that Holistic Skin Care is fundamental in achieving clear skin and supporting healthy aging.
Without addressing potential root causes of your skin concerns and ailments, topical skin care provides limited and short-term results.  Skin health and overall wellness should be supportive of each other.

Korea got it right with skin care, they view skin care as every day health care & wellness - Professional skin care is a form of health care.

Underneath your skin, there is an intricate combination of muscles, connective tissues, bones, arteries, nerves, glands and meridians that must work harmoniously together.  Since everything connects;  what we do to the outermost layer of skin affects the innermost layers that give our whole face it’s structure, and the skin reflects what’s going on inside our bodies and psyche.  Touch & movement are vital for healthy skin - professional facial massage that addresses the fascia and deeper layers of the skin and lymphatic system connect internal processes with external practices such as topical skincare & other facial treatments, for a healthy, glowing complexion.    Modern lifestyle, lack of a nourishing diet, environmental and emotional stress can create stagnation which wrecks havoc on our bodies, sooner or later manifesting in the skin as inflammation and premature signs of aging.  This is because our skin is our first line of defense from the environment, which makes it highly prone to inflammation and dysfunction on a cellular level.  We also tend to hold copious amounts of tension in the soft tissues of the face, which can alter the whole structure of the face, causing the skin to look more 'aged', puffy, inflamed and imbalanced if not addressed properly.   It is my goal to help you correct and prevent these imbalances on an internal & external level without the use of anything toxic or harsh; and to help provide you with tools you need at home to support skin health longevity for long lasting results.

My Story & Education -

It is crucial to me to always be learning something.  I have a strong drive to constantly be evolving and expanding.
I am always studying, researching and learning various wellness & skin care modalities that connect, in order to create treatments that take the approach of bio-individuality.   My education started in 2013 in the Bosces Esthetics program, where I received my certification and earned my NYS Esthetician License, and my education has continued with advanced classes  (to learn more about my education, please click here or scroll down to the slide below this).  However, really, my education started even before this when I suffered through my own skin issues.  Through my teens and part of my twenties, I struggled with Acne and Type 2 Rosacea, turning to every product and potential solution that was marketed towards me.  Nothing worked, and some things made my skin look and feel even worse until I dived deeper into the world of skin care and wellness myself.  Learning how to heal my skin from a root cause perspective lit a fire in me to help others with their skin journey.  My journey is what makes me deeply passionate and integrous about what I do.

Your journey may not need to be an extensive as mine - maybe you are even just here for prevention - but whether you are here to correct something you are struggling with, or even just to maintain the healthy skin you already have with some skin boosting and relaxing facials,  it is crucial to have an honest expert and ally to navigate through this over saturated and over-marketed industry that generally isn’t set up to honor YOUR needs.

The Meaning of my Logo -

In the logo for Nina Livii Skin & Wellness, we see the Greek goddess Hygeia pictured holding a snake, representing the core values of my work.  What does this mean?  The origin of the name ‘Hygeia’ comes from the word “hygiene".   Hygeia was originally invoked as the protector of physical health and disease prevention. She is basically the founder of holistic health, wellness, cleansing and taking care of personal hygiene.  The skin is as a major detox organ and gateway to health and self care, and taking proper care of it resonates with what Hygeia stands for.
Her main symbol is composed of a bowl said to contain healing potion (representing renewal and healing), and a snake. Not everyone likes snakes, but they were very special to many ancient cultures as they hold powerful archetypal meanings for concepts of how nature’s life cycles work, the power of transformation, finding a liminal space for healing and duality between opposites.  Just as a snake sheds its skin, so do we both physically and in our psyche.  This shedding and ‘cleansing’ happens in every level of our body, and it is a gateway to wellness.  This cyclical viewpoint also reminds us to be patient in our healing process as we move from one cycle to another, and it reminds us that healing - whether it’s healing the body, mind or skin - isn’t quick or linear, it’s very much coiled like a snake.  The drinking cup represents the renewal and healing we find when we are patient and consistent despite any potential obstacles that may come our way.
My goal is to offer my facial studio and the experience you have with me as a gateway to healing, self care and long lasting vitality.  Our skin’s job is to literally shed away old cells and protect us from the environment and it needs support just as any other organ.  But beyond that, we also hold stories we outgrew and tension that’s no longer serving us deeper within the tissues, and this needs shedding too, so here I work to help you release it with high-touch advanced facial massage focused treatments. Through facial treatments and skin rituals you can feel more connected to the wellness goddess Hygeia and what she stands for and most importantly - more connected to yourself and your own unique beauty.
